Our red habaneros take a spot in the heavyweight class behind our Ghost Peppers but make no mistake these peppers pack some real heat. A habanero will add an unique but distinguishable flavor to your food albeit if you can stand the heat. In our opinion of hot peppers, a habanero offers the best balance of an exquisite taste and impeccable heat. We love to use habaneros as an additional ingredient to our favorite dishes (like meatloaf) to add variety and a unique taste to the dish. Like any of our other peppers cutting out the core (seeds and veins) will make the pepper milder.
These peppers first start out light green and slowly turn red as they mature. We try our best to only package and ship fully matured habaneros, but please keep in mind that any habanero in your order may have a greenish spot due to not having enough time to turn completely red before being picked.
